World of Beer Festival LogoSpeakers

We wanted to expand the festival from just tasting to include more educational opportunities for those wanting to learn more about beer, brewing, and other aspects of our favorite subject.

The talks are about 30 minute presentations with time for questions afterward. This provides enough time to cover a limited subject without taking too much time from your tasting activities!

This years speaker list includes:

Robin Shepherd is "In Search of the Perfect Pint". Robin is author of "Breweries & Brewpubs of Wisconsin" amoung other beer related books.

Jim Haertel on the "Latest Developments of the Museum of Beer & Brewing". Jim is President of the Board of the Musuem of Beer and Brewing. Museum web site

Jim Jensen will be demonstrating "grilled Peking duck and Mandarin pancakes using Lakefront beer". Jim is a member of the Bidal Society of Kenosha home brewing club and home brewer for over 20 years, former brewer at Brewmasters' Pub, and cooking enthusiast.

Jonathan Hamilton is the Guru of "Mead". White Winter Winery was founded in 1996 by two couples, Jon and Kim Hamilton and Mark and Nancy Rooney. All of thier products use locally grown fruit and honey whenever possible. Mead-making pre-dates beer and wine making, having origins dating back 8,000 years. Andy Hemken loves "Brewing with Honey". Big Bend beekeeper, President Wisconsin Honey Producers Assoc, and President of Milwaukee-Waukesha Beekeepers' Association - Andy is both a honey producer and homebrewer.

Homebrewing Discussion - Join us for the Beer Barons Hombrew Roundtable, with suppliers, retailers, homebrewers & certified homebrew judges talking about...Homebrew.

These people will be distributed around the festival and available for your questions.
